HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 05-6818 - Accept Dedication of Right-of-Way, 8767 Firestone Blvd. (In-N-Out Burgers)05 RESOLUTION NO. 6818 ( A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ACCEPTING AN IRREVOCABLE OFFER OF DEDICATION OF RIGHT-OF- WAY FOR THE SOUTHERLY THREE FEET OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 8767 FIRESTONE BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, an irrevocable offer of dedication was recorded with Parcel Map No. 243 15 for the property located at 8767 Firestone Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the City has awarded a construction contract for the Lakewood Boulevard Improvement Project, which includes widening at the intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and Firestone Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the improvement at the intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and Firestone Boulevard necessitates additional right-of-way adjacent to 8767 Firestone Boulevard; and THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby accepts that portion of right-of-way as described in Figures “I” and “2”, and recorded as an irrevocable offer of dedication (Future Street), pursuant to the provisions of Section 66477.2 of the Government Code of the State of California. [SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption by the City Council. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy to be recorded in the office of the Registrar-Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
