HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 08-7099 - Salary adjusts for confidential/exempt & sick leave payoutRESOLUTION NO. 08-7099 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY GRANTING SALARY INCREASES TO SPECIFIED EMPLOYEES (CONFIDENTIAL/EXEMPT). WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide competitive compensation to its employees; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is appropriate to provide a four percent (4%) salary adjustment for Confidential/Exempt employees. NOW. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City shall provide, effective November 3, 2008, a four percent (4%) salary increase to Confidential/Exempt employees in classifications specified in Exhibit A. Only employees who are on payroll the date of the adoption of the Resolution shall be eligible for the retroactive adjustment. SECTION 2. The City shall modify the management benefit Resolution to confirm that the payout of sick leave hours at retirement shall be equivalent to the program provided to the Downey City Employees Association–Miscellaneous Unit and will payout 100% of accrued sick leave hours, capped at 1,900 hours.L SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and provide for the distribution thereof. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December, 2008. ATTEST: MARIO A.
