HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 06-6939 - Changes titles of various Public Works Dept. employeesRESOLUTION NO. 06-6939 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY CHANGING THE TITLES OF ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF WATER/SANITATION TO ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF UTILITIES SYSTEM AND PRINCIPAL WATER TECHNICIAN TO WATER SYSTEMS TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR II, AND PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR II TO PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR II/WATER SYSTEMS SUPERVISOR II. WHEREAS, the City and Employee Association had reached agreement and the City Council adopted the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU); and WHEREAS, that MOU included a provision to review and update language including new titles for Water Division positions; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to implement those proposed updates. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The titles of specific classifications are hereby changed as follows: Assistant Superintendent of Water/Sanitation changed to Assistant Superintendent of Utilities System, Principal Water Technician is changed to Water Systems Technical Supervisor II, and Public Works Supervisor II is changed to Public Works Supervisor II/ Water Systems Supervisor II.t SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and provide for the distribution thereof. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of August, 2006.
