A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
GRANTING SALARY INCREASES TO SPECIFIED EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, City Council Resolution No. 5290, the Management Performance
Compensation Plan, states that cost-of-living increases granted to management employees will
be no less than that granted to the rank-and file employees in their respective departments; and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted three-year agreements with the Maintenance Unit,
Miscellaneous Unit and Safety Auxiliary Unit that contained multiple salary increases.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City shall provide the following salary increases to Executive
Management, Middle Management and Confidential/Exempt employees in classifications
specified in Exhibit A:
A. Effective October 24, 2005 four percent (4%). Only employees who are on payroll
the date of the adoption of the agreement shall be eligible for the retroactive
adjustment.
B. Effective October 23, 2006, four per cent (4%)
C. Effective October 22, 2007, four percent (4%)
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and provide
for the distribution thereof.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of January, 2006.
