RESOLUTION NO. 05-6879 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY GRANTING AN EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON (SOE) FOR THE PURPOSE OF UNDERGROUNDING, OPERATING AND MAINTAINING ELECTRICAL UTILITIES AT 12408 LAKEWOOD BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, the City Council approved an Agreement with SCE to underground high- voltage transmission power lines (Underground Utilities District No. 18) on January 1 1, 2005; and WHEREAS, the undergrounding of electrical service lines at 12408 Lakewood Boulevard necessitates a Grant of Easement to SCE; and NOW. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby grants an easement as described in Exhibit A, and recorded as an easement, pursuant to the provisions of Section 51083.5 of the Government Code of the State of California. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents for the purposes of granting said easement. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption by the City Council. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy to be recorded in the office of the Registrar-Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
