HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 23-8197 - Amending the Adopted FY 2023-2024 BudgetWHEREAS, the City Council considered and approved the proposed budget
recommended by the City Manager for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024; and
WHEREAS, the adopting resolution, Resolution - No. 23-8174, contained a typographical
error resulting in the understatement of the total adopted budget; and
WHEREAS, the typographical error was also reflected in the exhibit to the Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the error was limited to the Capital Improvement Project and Water Utility
Funds; and
WHEREAS, the error resulted from the exclusion of appropriations related to multi -year
capital projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DO NEY DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The budget for the City of Downey for fiscal year 2023-2024 is hereby
amended as set forth in the statement of Summary of Resources and Requirements by Fund.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to expend, in accordance with the laws of the State of
California, the Charter of the City of Downey and its ordinances, on behalf of the City Council, an
amount of $272,287,492 for City operations as per Exhibit "A"
SECTION 2. City staff is directed to prepare and publish a final budget document
incorporating these changes approved by the City Council.
SECTION 3. The original adopting resolution, Resolution No. 23-8174, remains effective
and unchanged in all respects not contained or addressed in this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
