The Community Development Commission of the City of Downey held a Regular Meeting at

9303 ELM VISTA DRIVE FOR $1,050,000:

It was moved by Commissioner Cartozian, seconded by Vice-Chairperson Gafin, and
approve the remainder of the Consent Calendar

3. APPROVED ACQUISITION OF MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT
9303 ELM VISTA DRIVE FOR $1,050,000:
Development Services.
Vice-Chairman Gafin noted that this is an existing high density area and asked if the property
would be maintained at the 4 existing units or less and was informed that it would stay the same.
Guy Sterner, President of the Project Area Committee (PAC), stated that the PAC supports
the purchase of this property and is recommending that the property be used for single-family homes
available to all citizens regardless of economic status. He presented to Chief Deputy City Clerk Doyle
copies of a statement of support for this property acquisition for distribution to the Commission.
It was moved by Vice-Chairperson Gafin, seconded by Commissioner Bayer and unanimously
approve the acquisition.
