HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Commission & Committees Vacancy List - ALL (01-10-23)VACANCIES: ONE (1) — District 2 (Southwest portion of the City) ONE (1) — District 4 (Northeast portion of City) MEETINGS: As -needed QUALIFICATIONS: Voter of the City and living in the respective District during the entire term of appointment. DUTIES: To hear and decide appeals of decisions made by the Building Official in connection with the application or the interpretation of the California Building Code and other ordinances, regulations and policies governing the building requirements of the City. The Board shall consist of five members. Each member shall be qualified pertaining to building construction and the California Building Code. The members of the Board shall be appointed by and hold office at the pleasure of the City Council. The members of the Board shall be appointed for a term of four years and shall hold office until their successors have been appointed. The Community Development Director or his/her designee shall act as Secretary of the Board. VACANCIES: ONE (1) — District 2 (Southwest portion of the City) ONE (1) — District 4 (Northeast portion of City) MEETINGS: Fourth Monday of the month at 5:00 p.m. QUALIFICATIONS: Voter of the City and reside in the respective District during the entire term of appointment. DUTIES: Review and make recommendations to the City Council regarding energy; waste reduction; urban design, urban nature, transportation, environmental health; water; and any other matters specifically requested to be reviewed by the City Council. Last Updated: 01/10/23 LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD # OF VACANCIES: ONE (1) — District 2 (Southwest portion of the City) ONE (1) — District 4 (Northeast portion of City) MEETINGS: Third Tuesday of the month in the Cormack Room of the Library at 6:30 p.m. QUALIFICATIONS: Voter of the City and living within the District during the entire term of appointment. DUTIES: To make recommendations to the City Council regarding the operation and conduct of the City Library. PLANNING COMMISSION # OF VACANCIES: ONE (1) — District 2 (Southwest portion of the City) ONE (1) — District 3 (Northwest portion of the City) ONE (1) — District 4 (Northeast portion of City) MEETINGS: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall QUALIFICATIONS: Voter of the City and reside in the respective District during the entire term of appointment. DUTIES: Recommends to the Council adoption of General, Master or Specific Plans for physical development. Reviews site plans and applications for Conditional Use Permits, Parcel Maps, and variances. PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE VACANCIES: TWO (2) — District 2 (Southwest portion of the City) TWO (2) — District 4 (Northeast portion of City) MEETINGS: 3rd Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Training Room of City Hall QUALIFICATIONS: Voter of the City and reside in the respective District during the entire term of appointment. DUTIES: Review and making recommendations to the City Council regarding traffic and parking, solid waste and recycling, wastewater collection and disposal, air quality, hazardous waste, public utilities, transportation and mobility, water supply, energy consumption and conservation, urban runoff and water quality, urban blight and streetscape and other matters affecting a healthy and safe environment. DUTIES: Recommend to the City Council such plans and programs as may be desirable for the improvement, maintenance and expansion of parks and playgrounds.
