I. CALL TO ORDER THE REGULAR LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING – 6:00 P.M. II. ROLL CALL III. WELCOME TO MEMBERS AND GUESTS IV. AGENDA AND NON-AGENDA PUBLIC COMMENT This portion provides an opportunity for the public to address the Board on items within the jurisdiction of the Board and listed and not listed on the agenda. It is requested, but not required, that you state your name, address and subject matter upon which you will speak. Please limit your comments to no more than 5 minutes. Pursuant to the Brown Act, no discussion or action, other than a referral to staff or schedule of subsequent agenda, shall be taken by the Board on any issue brought forth under this section. V. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS a. APPROVE MINUTES: Regular Meeting of November 16, 2021 VI. REPORTS a. Library Incident Reports – Discuss and update with Library Advisory Board Member regarding Incident Reports b. Library Director’s Report – Discuss and provide updates to Library Advisory Board Members in regards to Activities and Services of the Downey City Library. c. Friends of the Downey City Library Report – Provide updates in regards to fundraising efforts, volunteers, and participation of events. VII. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS VIII. Eva Landeros, Library Assistant SPECIAL NOTICE Public Participation and Accessibility for the February 15, 2022, Downey Regular Library Advisory Board Meeting Pursuant to Downey City Council Resolution No. 22-8052, Ratifying the Findings Pursuant to AB 361 and Re-Authorizing Use of Remote Teleconferencing for an additional 30 Days (attached), adopted on February 8, 2022, the Downey Regular Library Advisory Board Meeting scheduled for February 15, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. will allow members of the public to view, listen and participate in the meetings virtually/remotely. Members of the public wishing to submit public comment to the Library Advisory Board regarding items on the agenda and non-agenda may do so in writing or telephonically. E-mail: dclpubliccomment@downeyca.org In order to effectively accommodate public participation, participants are asked to provide their public comments via e-mail by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2021. Participants addressing the Subcommittee Members by email are encouraged to provide the following information: a) Full Name; b) City of Residence; c) Agenda Item No; d) Written Comments. 3. Zoom Public Comment Participation Instructions: If a member of the public wishes to address the Subcommittee Members during the Public Comment portion of the meeting they must first use the “Raise Hand” function on Zoom to request to speak and be unmuted: • Via laptop: Click the “Raise Hand” button and wait to be unmuted • Via telephone: Dial *9 on the phone keypad and wait to be unmuted The meeting host will send an unmute request to the speaker in turn to unmute themselves • Via laptop: Click the unmute button • Via telephone: Dial *6 on the phone keypad to unmute the call Speakers will wait in queue until it is their time to speak. Persons speaking are limited to a maximum of four (4) minutes.
