SPECIAL NOTICE
Public Participation and Accessibility for the February 10, 2022 Special Affordable Housing
City Council Subcommittee Meeting
Pursuant to Downey City Council Resolution No. 22-8048, Authorizing the Use of Remote
Teleconferencing Provision Pursuant to AB 361, adopted on January 12, 2022, the Special
Affordable Housing City Council Subcommittee Meeting scheduled for February 10, 2022 at
4:30 p.m. will allow members of the public to view, listen, and participate in the meetings
virtually/remotely. Members of the public wishing to submit public comment to the Affordable
Housing City Council Subcommittee regarding items on the agenda and non-agenda may do so
in writing or telephonically.
Below are the ways to participate in the Special Meeting at 4:30 p.m.

Zoom Public Comment Participation Instructions
If a member of the public wishes to address the Subcommittee Members during the Public
Comment portion of the meeting they must first use the “Raise Hand” function on Zoom to
request to speak and be unmuted:
• Via laptop: Click the “Raise Hand” button and wait to be unmuted
• Via telephone: Dial *9 on the phone keypad and wait to be unmuted
The meeting host will send an unmute request to the speaker, in turn, to unmute themselves:
• Via laptop: Click the unmute button
• Via telephone: Dial *6 on the phone keypad to unmute the call
Speakers will wait in queue until it is their time to speak. Persons speaking are limited to
a maximum of three (3) minutes. Participants addressing the Subcommittee Members are
encouraged to provide the following information:
a) Full Name;
b) City of Residence;
c) Subject or Agenda Item No.;
d) Public Comments.

In order to effectively accommodate public participation, participants are asked to provide their
public comments in writing via e-mail or in person on the first floor of Downey City Hall at the
Community Development’s Planning Division counter by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
Participants submitting public comment in writing are encouraged to provide the following
information in their e-mail:
a) Full Name;
b) City of Residence;
c) Subject or Agenda Item No.;
d) Public Comments.
PUBLIC COMMENT SHALL BE ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY AND WILL ONLY BE TAKEN
VIA E-MAIL OR THE ZOOM TELECONFERENCE.
