Public Participation and Accessibility for the May 4, 2021 Downey Veterans Council Meeting
Pursuant to Paragraph 3 of Executive Order N-29-20 executed by the Governor of California on March 17, 2020, the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health Officer Order January
29, 2021 – Reopening Safer at Work and in the Community for Control of COVID-19 – Blueprint for a Safer Economy – Tier 1 Surge Response, the Downey Veterans Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 4, 2021 will allow members of the public to participate and address the Downey Veterans Council during the public comment portion of the meeting via Zoom teleconference.

Zoom Public Comment Participation Instructions
If a member of the public wishes to address the Downey Veterans Council during the Public
Comment portion of the meeting, they must first use the “Raise Hand” function on Zoom to request to speak and be unmuted:
• Via laptop: Click the “Raise Hand” button and wait to be unmuted
• Via telephone: Dial *9 on the phone keypad and wait to be unmuted
The meeting host will send an unmute request to the speaker in turn to unmute themselves
• Via laptop: Click the unmute button
• Via telephone: Dial *6 on the phone keypad to unmute the call Speakers will wait in queue until it is their time to speak. Persons speaking are limited to a maximum of three (3) minutes. Participants addressing the Downey Veterans Council are encouraged to provide the following information:
a) Full Name; b) City of Residence; c) Agenda Item No;
d) Public Comments.
PUBLIC COMMENT SHALL BE ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY AND WILL ONLY BE TAKEN VIA E-MAIL, ZOOM TELECONFERENCE, OR IN-PERSON BEFORE THE MEETING.
