Byrne Memorial Justice Grant (JAG) Program Local Solicitation. i

Historically, we have used JAG Grant monies to provide the funding for officers who
work the Neighborhood Preservation Program, as well as for community education
programs and special overtime programs aimed at crime suppression and prevention
We intend to use this funding for special overtime programs such as Crime Impact an
Neighborhood Preservation that target specific crime trends, i.e., street robberies, a 11

theft and burglary.

under the FY 2020 Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant ("JAG") Program, and further to 34 U.S. C. § 10153(a), I
certify to the Office of Justice Programs ("OJP"), U.S. Department of Justice ("USDOX), that all of the following are
true and correct:

3. 1 assure that the application described above (and any amendment to that application) was submitted for review
to the governing body of the unit of local government (e.g., city council or county commission), or to an
organization designated by that governing body, not less than 30 days before the date of this certification.
