PRESENTATIONS

NON-AGENDA PUBLIC COMMENT
This portion provides an opportunity for the public to address the Council on items within the jurisdiction of the Council and not

other than a brief response, referral to the City Manager/staff or schedule for a subsequent agenda, shall be taken by the
Council/Agency on any issue brought forth under this section.
CONSENT CALENDAR
All matters listed on the Consent Calendar are to be approved with one motion unless a Council Member request an item be
removed. Removed items will be considered following approval of the Consent Calendar.
1. APPROVE MINUTES: Regular Meeting of February 25, 2020: City Clerk.
2. WARRANTS ISSUED: Warrant Nos. 341150 – 341526; Payroll Wire Nos. 30003965, 30003969 –
30003970 and 30003972; Manual Wire 1975 – 1979; and, Cashier’s Check No. 139 in the total
amount of $3,718,017.54: Finance.
3. ACCEPT WORK FOR TELEGRAPH RD. WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS; APPROVE FINAL
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $1,526,975; AND, AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER TO FILE THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION (CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 19-02): Public Works.
4. ACCEPT APOLLO PARK AND DENNIS THE MENACE PARK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS AS
COMPLETE; AND, AUTHORIZE THE ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE THE NOTICE OF
COMPLETION (CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 19-28 AND 19-29): Administration.
5. AWARD A CONTRACT TO TRI COUNTY PUMP COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $138,872 FOR
WELL NO. 5 REHABILITATION; AND, AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO
EXECUTE ANY CHANGE ORDER OR ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK DEEMED NECESSARY
OR DESIRABLE UP TO THE APPROVED PROJECT BUDGET (MISCELLANEOUS PROJECT
NO. 337): Public Works.
6. AUTHORIZE PROCUREMENT OF THE REQUIRED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT RELATED TO
THE WILDERNESS PARK PONDS RESTORATION PROJECT: Administration.
7. APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ALL-CITY
MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INC. FOR CROSSING GUARD SERVICES: Police.

8. APPROVE ANNUAL RATE ADJUSTMENTS REQUESTED BY CALMET SERVICES, INC. FOR
SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND RECYCLING SERVICES: Public Works.
ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 20-______, ADOPT A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF DOWNEY APPROVING ANNUAL RATE ADJUSTMENTS FOR SOLID WASTE
AND RECYCLING SERVICES PROVIDED BY CALMET SERVICES, INC. TO RESIDENTIAL
AND COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS.
9. SUMMARY VACATION OF PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS FOR SANITARY SEWER AND
WATER FACILITIES ALONG FIRESTONE BLVD. FROM OLD RIVER SCHOOL RD. TO WEST
CITY LIMIT: Public Works.
1) ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 20-______, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF DOWNEY SUMMARILY VACATING PUBLIC SERVICE UTILITY EASEMENTS
FOR SANITARY SEWER MAIN FACILITY PURPOSES ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AT
SOUTH FIRESTONE BOULEVARD WEST CITY LIMITS; AND,
2) ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 20-______, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF DOWNEY SUMMARILY VACATING PUBLIC SERVICE UTILITY EASEMENTS
FOR WATER FACILITY PURPOSES ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AT FIRESTONE
BOULEVARD BETWEEN OLD RIVER SCHOOL ROAD AND WEST CITY LIMITS.
10. APPROVE A FEE WAIVER FOR USE OF THE SHOWMOBILE FOR WARREN HIGH SCHOOL’S
OPEN HOUSE EVENT ON MARCH 11, 2020: Council Member Ashton.
