That the City Council, 1) approve the CODESP agreement,- and 2) allthorize the Mayor
and the Director of Human Resources to execute the attached agreement with
Cooperative Organization for the Development of Employee Selection (CODESP) to
provide employment pre -testing materials for ASPIRE.
A requirement of the ASPIRE Grant is that new employee app cants•r t e position of
lq:&krat 4-flcfl.-Il rej,&nf jet
District's Instructional Aide position. For that position, they must pass assessments that
demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching, reading, writing, and
mathematics.
CODESP is a public Human Resources organization that produces such tests for the
City of Downey to utilize for ASPIRE. ASPIRE has used these services annually;
however, CODESP has updated their services to include a security and service
agreement.

FISCAL IMPACT
There will be no impact to the general fund. This cost will come out of the ASPIRE
revenue account from registration fees. For the 2019-2020 school year, the cost will be
$1,100.
