Removed items will be considered following approval of the Consent Calendar. 1. APPROVE MINUTES: Regular Meeting of May 14, 2019: City Clerk. 2. WARRANTS ISSUED: Warrant Nos. 333555 – 333946; Payroll Wire Nos. are 30003871 & 30003875 – 30003879; and, Manual Wire Nos. 1845 – 1849, in the total amount of $3,926,324.78: Finance. 3. AWARD CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,815.27 TO J&S STRIPING, INC. FOR STREET PAVEMENT RESTRIPING SERVICES; AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AGREEMENT; AND, AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ANY CHANGE ORDERS OR ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK, DEEMED NECESSARY OR DESIRABLE UP TO THE APPROVED BUDGET AMOUNT (CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 18-06): Public Works. 4. APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 IN THE AMOUNT OF $51,470 FOR THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS PROJECT, PHASE 2; AUTHORIZE PROCUREMENT OF TWO SINGLE-PORT CHARGEPOINT ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS AND RELATED CITY-FURNISHED MATERIALS; APPROVE ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $71,370 IN SOUTH COAST AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT AB 2766 SUBVENTION FUNDS IN ACCOUNT NO. 22-1-6736 TO COVER THE ESTIMATED TOTAL PROJECT COST SHORTFALL; AND, AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE ANY CHANGE ORDERS OR ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK AS DEEMED NECESSARY UP TO THE APPROVED BUDGET (CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 19- 15): Public Works. 5. ACCEPT WORK FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF CHILLER CONDENSER COILS AT THE COLUMBIA MEMORIAL SPACE CENTER; APPROVE FINAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $36,157, AND, AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO FILE THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION (CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 19-16): Public Works. 3 6. AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,159,330 TO NR DEVELOPMENT, INC. FOR THE GOLDEN PARK, INDEPENDENCE PARK, AND, WILDERNESS PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS; AND, AUTHORIZE THE ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY CHANGE ORDERS OR ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK FOR THESE PROJECTS DEEMED NECESSARY OR DESIRABLE UP TO 10% OF THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AMOUNT (CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NOS. 19-32, 19-33, AND, 19-35): Administration. 7. AWARD A CONTRACT TO LEGEND PUMP AND WELL SERVICES, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $144,232 FOR WELL NO. 16 REHABILITATION; AND, AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ANY CHANGE ORDERS OR ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK DEEMED NECESSARY OR DESIRABLE UP TO THE APPROVED BUDGET (MISCELLANEOUS PROJECT NO. 330): Public Works. 8. APPROVE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH INTERWEST CONSULTING GROUP, ONWARD ENGINEERING AND SA ASSOCIATES FOR AS-NEEDED PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR WITH AN OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS; AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENTS; AND, AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL AMENDMENTS AS DEEMED NECESSARY: Public Works. 9. APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH UNITED PACIFIC SERVICES, INC. FOR TREE MAINTENANCE SERVICES EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT FOR TWO YEARS AND APPROVING THE NEW SERVICE RATES; AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1; AND, AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY FUTURE AMENDMENTS: Public Works. 10. APPROVE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH LINDSAY YOST AND PREFERRED IMPRESSIONS, INC. TO DESIGN, FABRICATE AND INSTALL PUBLIC ART AT FURMAN PARK; AND, AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL AMENDMENTS TO THE AGREEMENTS: Community Development. 11. APPROVE AN AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHSTAR ENGINEERING & CONSULTING INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $75,100 FOR PROVIDING PUBLIC OUTREACH SERVICES AS RELATED TO THE MEASURE S INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM: AND, AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT: Administration. 12. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 19-______, A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A REPORT MADE BY THE FIRE CHIEF OF THE DOWNEY FIRE DEPARTMENT REGARDING THE ANNUAL INSPECTIONS OF CERTAIN OCCUPANCIES PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 13146.2 AND 13146.3 OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE: Fire. 13. RENEWAL OF A GENERAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES: Public Works. 1) INTRODUCE ORDINANCE NO. 19-______, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF A GENERAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES; AND, 2) AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE GENERAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES. 4 14. APPROVE AND ADOPT THE UPDATED CITYWIDE LANGUAGE ACCESS PLAN AND THE CITY OF DOWNEY TITLE VI PROGRAM-TRANSIT: Administration. 16.
