SUBJECT: APPROVE THE DONATION OF A GOLF FOURSOME FOR SOROPTIMIST
INTERNATIONAL OF DO EY
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council approve the donation of one foursome of golf at the Rio Hondo
Golf Course in support of the Soroptimist International of Downey.
The Soroptimist International of Downey is a non-profit organization serving women
residing in the City of Downey, as well as, striving to improve the quality of life for
women across the Country. The Soroptimist International of Downey has been a long
time City partner and supported many activities including the International Food
Festival, Rooftop Events, and adopting a street through Keep Downey Beautiful "Adopt
a Street" program.
In helping to support this long standing community organization, Council is asked to
consider donating one foursome of golf to the Soroptimist International of Downey
Casino Night fundraiser event.
,FISCAL IMPACT.
The total financial impact of donation of one foursome of golf is approximately $200
applied to account 52-3-6630.
