(CITYWIDE)OF PROJECT
That the City Council:
1, Accept the Annual Miscellaneous Concrete Construction and Repairs (Council
Districts 1 and 3) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Improvement Project
(Citywide), Capital Improvement Project No. 18-01, as complete;
2. Approve the final construction contract amount of $491,011; and
3 Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to file the Notice of Completion
with the Los Angeles County Recorder's office.

On February 13, 2018, the City Council approved plans and specifications for the Annual
Miscellaneous Concrete Construction and Repairs and ADA Improvement Project and granted
authority to advertise for bids. On July 10, 2018, the City Council awarded a construction
contract in the amount of $420,810 to CT&T Concrete Paving, Incorporated. On September 10,
2018, work commenced and was completed on December 28, 2018.
Under the Annual Miscellaneous Concrete Construction and Repairs and ADA Improvement
Project, approximately 376 locations were repaired. The repairs included reconstruction of
18,822 square feet of sidewalk, 1,668 square feet of driveway approaches, 1,394 square feet of
curb ramps, 5,900 linear feet of curb and gutter, 530 square feet of spandrel and 7,839 square
feet of asphalt pavement.
The project has been completed and staff recommends that the City Council accept the project
as complete.

The final cost of the construction contract, including the base contract amount and net increase
in contract quantities, pertaining to this project is $491,011. The total final cost of the project is
$641,171, which includes design, construction, inspection, engineering and contract
administration and materials testing.
The total estimated project cost is as follows:
Sufficient Capital Improvement Program funds are available to cover the total project cost, as
shown in the following table:
