Removed items will be considered following approval of the Consent Calendar. 1. APPROVE MINUTES: Special Meeting of October 9, 2018; Regular Meeting of July 24, 2018: City Clerk. 2. WARRANTS ISSUED: Warrant Nos. 327933 – 328295; Payroll Wire Nos. 30003804, 30003808 – 30003810, 30003812; and, Manual Wire Nos. 1752 – 1755; in the total amount of $3,506.805.49: Finance. 3. APPROVE THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZE SOLICITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE FLORENCE AVENUE BRIDGE AT SAN GABRIEL RIVER MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR PROJECT (CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 19-19): Public Works. 4. ACCEPT $300,000 IN SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019 FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA - OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY: Police. 5. INTRODUCE ORDINANCE NO. 18-_____, AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY REPEALING CHAPTER 1 OF ARTICLE III OF THE DOWNEY MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING A NEW CHAPTER (“TRAFFIC REGULATIONS”) TO ARTICLE III (“PUBLIC SAFETY”): Public Works. 7. INTRODUCE ORDINANCE NO. 18-______, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH NATIONWIDE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES A DIVISION OF JOE’S SWEEPING, INC. Slape, 23, from Morehead City, North Carolina, who was supporting Operations Resolute Support and Freedom's Sentinel; Lieutenant Brad Clark of the Hanover County Fire Department in Virginia killed in the line of duty; Assistant Fire Chief David Fischer of Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department in South Dakota killed in the line of duty; Patricia Johnson Beckerman, longtime Downey resident; and, Victims of Hurricane Michael.
