For the City of Downey 6 th Annual National Night Out, staff recommends closing vehicular access • a small •Y1 • Civic Center Drive, as well as the roundabout on 3 rd Street, including • at 3rd Street and Civic Center Drive. • are ?ttached • • review. The proposed closure will be on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. • • staff time for set up, breakdown and clean up. 1% • NATIONAL NIGHT OUT - STREET CLOSURE 1 TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2018 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT STREET CLOSURE CIVIC CENTER DRIVE AND 3RD STREET The proposed closure is for Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. until approximately 10:00 p.m. to allow staff time for set up, breakdown, clean up and the event itself. Public works will assist with setting up and taking down at the conclusion of the event. The A -frame barricades described throughout the street -closure proposal will have reflective material affixed to them so they are readily visible to approaching motorists after dark. ATTACH M ENT A- NATIONAL NIGHT OUT - STREET CLOSURE 2 TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2018 (1) A -FRAME BARRICADES WILL BE PLACED ALONG THE EAST CURB PROLONGATION OF CIVIC CENTER DRIVE AT THIRD STREET. IN ADDITION; IT WILL BE REQUESTED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PLACE A FIRE ENGINE ALONG THE PROLONGATION. (2) A -FRAME BARRICADES WILL BE PLACED ON THE NORTH CURB PROLONGATION OF 3RD STREET AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE PARKING LOT WEST OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUILDING NATIONAL NIGHT OUT - STREET CLOSURE 3 TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2018 (3) A -FRAME BARRICADES WILL BE PLACED ALONG THE SOUTH CURB PROLONGATION OF 3RD STREET AT THE CITY LIBRBARY PARKING LOT ON THE TURNABOUT AT CIVIC CENTER DRIVE. A POLICE UNIT WILL ALSO BE PLACED AT THE PROLONGATION.
