Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 18-7803-Adopting the Updated Classification Specifications For Police Dispatch Sup & Fire Comm Center SupRESOLUTIONOF • OF OF r' • 1 ADOPTING THE UPDATED CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATIONSFOR POLICE DISPATCH SUPERVISOR AND FIRE COMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISORr ESTABLISHING COMPENSATONFOR • • OF • i'SUPERVISOR WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 budget includes funding for one full-time non- exempt Fire Communications Center Supervisor in the Fire Department, WHEREAS, the pay range for Fire Communications Center Supervisor is determined to require alignment with the pay range for the classification of Police Dispatch Supervisor due to similar work, as a composite of skill, effort, and responsibility, WHEREAS, to maintain the City's Classification Plan, compensated positions in the classified service of the City require a classification specification that includes employment standards and qualifications, WHEREAS, the need to correct the job title assigned to pay code 06-270 for Senior Police Dispatch Supervisor to Police Dispatch Supervisor is necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The classification specifications for Police Dispatch Supervisor and Fire Communications Center Supervisor, attached hereto, and by this reference are hereby adopted. SECTION 2. The following pay range shall take effect following City Council adoption of this resolution as follows: Effective: May 7, 2018 Classification Title Grade Pay Rangl Fire Comm Center Supervisor TBD $34.3286 - $42.5269/hourly Police Dispatch Supervisor 06-270 $34.3286 - $42.5269/hourly SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of May 018.
