That the City Council approve the donation of two foursomes of golf at the Rio Hondo Golf
Course in support of the Downey Kiwanis Club.
The Kiwanis Club of Downey is hosting a Casino Night on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Rio
Hondo Event Center. In helping to support this long-standing community organization, Council is
asked to consider ratifying the donation of two foursomes of golf, to benefit the clubs
Community Service account to support local community projects.
A round of golf ranges from $20 for Downey resident youth and seniors on weekdays to $49 per
person on weekends and holidays. The current agreement with the Rio Hondo Golf Course
operator allows the City Council to authorize the City Manager's approval of courtesy play when
the use benefits the City as approved by Council.

The total financial impact of donation of two foursomes of golf is approximately $392 applied to
account 52-3-6630.
