Senate Bill 1 (SB1), the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 is a transportation funding
Bill, passed by the Legislature and signed into law by the Governor in April 2017, which will
provide approximately $52 billion in funding raised through gasoline and diesel fuel and sales

transportation funding shortfalls statewide.
In order to receive SB1 funding approval for Fiscal Year (FY) 2018/ 2019 the City must adopt a
Resolution approving a list of all projects proposed to be funded through SB1. The project list
must include a description and the location of each proposed project, a proposed schedule for
the project's completion, and the estimated useful life of the improvement. The City is required
to submit a copy of the adopted Resolution to the California Transportation Commission by
May 1, 2018. The City's SB1 funding allocation for FY 2018/2019 is estimated at $1,580,621.
The projects to be funded with Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues are
listed in Exhibit "A" of the attached Resolution.
Staff recommends adoption of the attached Resolution to secure S131 Funds for FY18-19.
