In order to improve the level of lighting illumination the softball field lighting system which was put in place about 25 years ago were re-lamped by Musco Sports Lighting, LLC (Musco) in August of 2017. Musco is the manufacturer and installer of the existing sports field lighting at Independence Park. Therefore, staff requested and subsequently obtained the attached proposal from Musco for said improvements. The lighting improvement project will consist of installation of one new 60 foot steel pole, electrical component enclosures, wire harness, LED light fixtures which include balltracking technology and electrical connections to the existing panel. The project is anticipated to commence in April and completed in May 2018 due to six to eight weeks duration for procurement of material 0 INDEPENDENCE PARK SOFTBALL FIELD LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT AWARD CONTRACT FEBRUARY 27, 2018 PAGE 2 The project is exempt from CEQA per Section 15301.
