PLN-16-00122 (Tentative Tract Map No. 74254, Zone Change, Site Plan Review and Variance) Location: 7940 Telegraph Road Approve Request: A request to construct a 39 unit residential condominium development, on property zoned C-2 (General Commercial) and P-B (Parking Buffer) CEQA: Categorical Exemption – Section 15332 (Class 32, In-Fill Developments) Staff: Senior Planner Guillermo Arreola PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2016 3. PLN-14-00210 (General Plan Amendment and Zone Change) and PLN-16-00196 (Tentative Tract Map No. 74567 and Site Plan Review) Location: 9525-9601 Firestone Blvd, 11016-11100 Pangborn Ave, and 11017-11121 Newville Ave Approve Request: 1. To change the General Plan land use designation of the southerly half of the planning area (defined as 9525-9601 Firestone Boulevard, 11016-11100 Pangborn Avenue, and 11017- 11121 Newville Avenue), from General Commercial (GC) to Medium-Density Residential (MDR) 2. To change the General Plan land use designation of 9601 Firestone Boulevard from General Commercial (GC) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC) 3. To rezone the planning area from Neighborhood Commercial (C-1) and Parking Buffer (P-B) to Multiple- Family Residential (R- 3), excluding the Parking Buffer (P-B) portion of 9601 Firestone Boulevard, which would rezone to C-1 and PLN-16-00196 (Tentative Tract Map No. 74567 and Site Plan Review) regarding a proposal to subdivide 9553 Firestone Boulevard into 24 condominiums and a private driveway, and Site Plan Review of the condominium project; and adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration of environmental impact CEQA: Mitigated Negative Declaration Staff: City Planner William Davis VII. NON-AGENDA PUBLIC COMMENTS: This portion of the agenda provides an opportunity for the public to address the Planning Commission on items within the jurisdiction of the Planning Commission and not listed on the agenda. Pursuant to the Brown Act, no discussion or action, other than a brief response, referral to the City Planning staff or schedule for a subsequent agenda, shall be taken by the Planning Commission on any issue brought forth under this section. Anyone wishing to discuss a consent calendar item should be recognized by the chairman, state name, address and agenda item number. Such appeal shall set forth specifically wherein it is claimed the Commission’s findings were in error, and wherein the decision of the Commission is not supported by the evidence in the matter, and wherein the public necessity, convenience, and welfare require the Commission’s decision to be reversed or modified
