PLN-15-00213 (Planned Sign Program) and PLN-15-00109 (Tentative Parcel Map) Location: 9515 Lakewood Boulevard Approve Request: A request to approve the color, size, and location for all signs for the “Downey Crossroads” project; and a request to approve Tentative Parcel Map No. 73581 to allow the consolidation of three existing parcels into a single lot, on property zoned C-2 (General Commercial). CEQA: Categorical Exemption – Section 15301 (Class 1, Existing Facilities). Staff: Senior Planner David Blumenthal 2. PLN-15-00214 (Planned Sign Program) Location: 9516 Lakewood Boulevard Approve Request: A request to approve the color, size, and location for all signs for the “The Commons at Gallatin Road” project, on property zoned C-2 and P-B (General Commercial and Parking Buffer). CEQA: Categorical Exemption – Section 15301 (Class 1, Existing Facilities). Staff: Senior Planner David Blumenthal PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA NOVEMBER 18TH, 2015 3. PLN-15-00159 (Site Plan Review and Conditional Use Permit) Location: 11040 Downey Avenue Approve Request: A request to convert an existing 3,977 sq. ft. office building into a restaurant (Cielo Restaurant & Lounge), with an Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Type 47 (On-Sale General, Eating Place) license; add a new 2,653 sq. ft. roof-top lounge area; a 408 sq. ft. front outdoor seating area, and a 914 sq. ft. rear outdoor seating area. Additionally this request is to allow live entertainment, off-site parking and valet parking on property zoned DDSP (Downtown Specific Plan – Downtown Core District). CEQA: Categorical Exemption – Section 15332 (Class 32, In-Fill Developments). Staff: Associate Planner Jessica Flores VII. NON-AGENDA PUBLIC COMMENTS: This portion of the agenda provides an opportunity for the public to address the Planning Commission on items within the jurisdiction of the Planning Commission and not listed on the agenda. It is requested, but not required, that you state your name, address and subject matter upon which you wish to speak. Please limit your comments to no more than 5 minutes. Pursuant to the Brown Act, no discussion or action, other than a brief response, referral to the City Planning staff or schedule for a subsequent agenda, shall be taken by the Planning Commission on any issue brought forth under this section. VIII. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS: Items in this section will be voted on in one motion unless a commissioner or citizen requests separate actions. Anyone wishing to discuss a consent calendar item should be recognized by the chairman, state name, address and agenda item number. Such appeal shall set forth specifically wherein it is claimed the Commission’s findings were in error, and wherein the decision of the Commission is not supported by the evidence in the matter, and wherein the public necessity, convenience, and welfare require the Commission’s decision to be reversed or modified
