HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 15-7577-Adopting Classification Specifications• i i; WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2015 -16 budget includes funding for the classifications of Information Technology & Systems Manager, Economic Development & Housing Manager, Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance, Assistant Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance, Accounting Coordinator, KDB /Recycling & Waste Coordinator, Transit Coordinator, and Maintenance Worker III; and, WHEREAS, the classifications of Information Technology & Systems Manager, Economic Development& Housing Manager, and Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance are exempt mid- management classification excluded from the classified service; and, WHEREAS, the classifications of Assistant Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance, Accounting Coordinator, KDB /Recycling& Waste Coordinator, and Transit Coordinator are non- exempt and determined to be appropriately represented by the Downey City Employees' Association — Miscellaneous Unit; and, WHEREAS, the classification of Maintenance Worker III is non - exempt and determined to be appropriately represented by the Downey City Employees' Association — Maintenance Unit; and, WHEREAS, the benefits payable to the classifications of Information Technology & Systems Manager, Economic Development & Housing Manager, and Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance are represented in Resolution No. 14- 7513, which from time to time will be updated by formal City Council action; and, WHEREAS, the new or updated classifications for the positions of Information Technology& Systems Manager, Economic Development & Housing Manager, Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance, Assistant Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance, Accounting Coordinator, KDB /Recycling & Waste Coordinator, Transit Coordinator and Maintenance Worker Ill require a classification specification that includes employment standards and qualifications; and, NOW, THEREFORE, i OF OF r 1T r i ,1 VEREBY RESOLVE _ i ': i T SECTION 1. The class specifications for the classifications of Information Technology & Systems Manager, Economic Development & Housing Manager, Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance, Assistant Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance, Accounting Coordinator, KDB /Recycling & Waste Coordinator, Transit Coordinator and Maintenance Worker III attached hereto, and by this reference, are hereby adopted. SECTION 2. The following pay ranges shall take effect to coincide with the first pay period of Fiscal Year 2015 -16 as follows: Classification Title Grade Pay Range Information Technology & Systems Manager TBD $8,689.30 to $10,600.93 /month Economic Development & Council Member: None Housing Manager 04 -028 $7,381.50 to $9,005.46 /month Superintendent of Council Member: None Facilities & Maintenance 04 -050 $7,878.86 to $9,612.17 /month Assistant Superintendent of Facilities & Maintenance 01 -273 $32.3082 to $40.0240 /hourly Accounting Coordinator TBD $19.0123 to $23.5530 /hourly KDB /Recycling & Waste Coordinator TBD $23.0860 to $28.5995/hourly Transit Coordinator TBD $19.7526 to $24.4704 /hourly Maintenance Worker III TBD $19.1783 to $23.7586/hourly SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution; APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of July, 2015 LUIS H.
