A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
ADOPTING A FINDING THAT THE SALE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION HOUSING AUTHORITY OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 9303 -09
ELM VISTA DRIVE IS CONSISTENT WITH THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Downey General Plan (Vision 2025) was adopted on June 3,
2005; and,
WHEREAS, the State of California Government Code Section 65402, requires the City of
Downey shall not acquire, use, or dispose of any real property until the use of the property has
been found in conformance with the City's General Plan; and,
WHEREAS, it is a goal of the General Plan (Goal 9.3) to "Ensure the continued fiscal
balance of the community;" and,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission Housing Authority wishes to
dispose of property located at 9303 -09 Elm Vista Drive (AIN 6284- 020 -900).
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Planning Commission does hereby find and determine the proposed
sale of real property located at 9303 -09 Elm Vista Drive (AIN 6284- 020 -900) is in conformance
to the City's adopted General Plan. In compliance with General Plan Goal 9.3, the disposal of
the properties will reduce the Community Development Commission Housing Authority liability
and the sale proceeds of the property will serve as financial assistance for the construction of an
affordable housing project for low- and moderate - income households.
SECTION 2. The Secretary shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of June, 2015.
