HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 15-297-Setting Public Hearing for 9010 Buhman AveRESOLUTION NO. 15- 297 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION HOUSING SUCCESSOR OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON APRIL 28, 2015 FOR THE SALE AND TRANSFER OF PUBLIC PROPERTY AT 9010 BUHMAN AVENUE, DOWNEY, CA 90242, WITHIN THE CITY OF DOWNEY, CA. WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission of the City of Downey, in its capacity to function as a housing authority and as the "Housing Successor Agency" for the assets and functions of the former redevelopment operations of the Community Development Commission of the City of Downey pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 34172(a) and 34176 (the "Downey Community Development Commission /Housing Successor Agency "), is authorized to dispose of the property located at 9010 Buhman Avenue (the "Subject Property "), further described as: Lot 51, of Tract No. 14395, in the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in book 364 Page(s) 21 to 24 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorded of said County, and; WHEREAS, the sale price for the Subject Property is not less than the fair market value, and; WHEREAS, the Downey Community Development Commission Housing Successor Agency now sets a time and place for a public hearing upon the sale and transfer of the Subject Property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE DOWNEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION HOUSING SUCCESSOR AGENCY, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. A public hearing shall be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers in City Hall, and that the public notice of the time and place of said hearing shall be given by publication in the Downey Patriot as required by the Downey Municipal Code. SECTION 2. The sale of the Subject Property is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines, as an existing facility. SECTION 3.
