Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 15-7553-Approving Rate Adjustment for Solid Waste ServicesRESOLUTION NO. 15 -7553 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY APPROVING A RATE ADJUSTMENT FOR SOLID WASTE SERVICES PROVIDED BY CALMET SERVICES, INC. TO RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS WHEREAS, the City of Downey has previously entered into a Solid Waste Handling Services Agreement with CalMet Services, Incorporated dated September 13, 2005 for refuse collection service; and, WHEREAS, the City of Downey has also entered into a First Amendment to Solid Waste Handling Agreement with CalMet Services, Incorporated, dated March 24, 2009; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to the Solid Waste Handling Services Agreement and First Amendment to Solid Waste Handling Agreement, CalMet Services may request a rate adjustment once a year based on a Disposal /Processing Component and Service Component formula approved by the City Council; and, NOW, THERFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1 Pursuant to the provisions of said agreement and amendment, the City Council hereby approves the following solid waste rate schedule for collection, removal, and disposal of garbage, recyclables, rubbish, and other refuse matter within the City by CalMet Services, Incorporated.
