DAVIS, CITY PLANNER PREPARED BY: KEVIN NGUYEN, ASSISTANT PLANNERy SUBJECT: PLN -15 -00005 (CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT) - A REQUEST TO EXPAND THE EXISTING CARWASH FACILITY (SULTAN CAR WASH) BY ADDING 12 OUTDOOR VACUUM SYSTEMS LOCATION: 8845 IMPERIAL HIGHWAY ZONING: C -2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) DISCUSSION PLN -15 -00004 is a request by Aron Carcamo, a representative for Sultan Car Wash, to modify a previously approved conditional use permit (No. 274) to expand their car wash service to include twelve (12) outdoor vacuum systems over the existing parking spaces. On February 26, 2015, the application was deemed complete and scheduled for the March 18, 2015, Planning Commission public hearing. However, further review of the application revealed facts that alter the Applicant's request and thereby require appropriate noticing. Therefore, staff requests that the Planning Commission postpone the public hearing until the Regular meeting on April 1, 2015. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Planning Commission continue the public hearing on PLN -15 -00005 to April 1, 2015.
