ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
JANUARY 12, 1988
The City Council/Community Development Commission of the City of Downey
held an Adjourned Regular Meeting at 6:30 p.m., January 12, 1988, in the Council
Chamber of the Downey City Hall, Mayor/Chairman Diane P. Boggs presiding.
PRESENT: Council Members/Commissioners:
Diane P. Boggs Mayor/Chairman
Robert G. Cormack Mayor Pro Tem/Vice-Chairman
Randall R. Barb
Roy L. Paul
James S. Santangelo
ALSO PRESENT: Don Davis, City Manager
Jenny Young, City Clerk/Secretary
Peter Thorson, City Attorney
James R. Cutts, Director of Community Development
William A. Ralph, Director of Public Works
Mayor/Chairman Boggs announced the Council/Commission is recessing to
closed session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation under the
provisions of Section 54956.9 - Government Code, Subdivision (a), United
Business College vs. City of Downey; one Subdivision (c) matter; and proposed
property acquisition and sale under the provisions of Section 54956.8, as
follows:
1. 8610 Firestone Boulevard,
Owned by Carmen and Diane Koosa
2. 9536 Firestone Boulevard to Car Wash U.S.A.,
Owned by Downey Community Development Commission
The meeting recessed at 6:31 p.m. and reconvened at 7:41 p.m, with
Council/Commission Members Boggs, Cormack, Barb, Paul, and Santangelo present.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: There were none.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 7:41 p.m.
