HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes-12-19-74-Adjourned Regular MeetingMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 19, 1974 The City Council of the City of Downey held a regular adjourned meeting at 6:30 p.m., December 19, 1974, in the Council Chambers of the Downey City Hall, Mayor Richard M. Jennings presiding. PRESENT: Councilmen: Walter S. Temple, Donald H. Winton, - Hazel N. Scotto, Richard M. Jennings ABSENT: Councilmen: Joseph E. DiLoreto (excused) ALSO PRESENT: Charles W. Thompson, City Manager Edwin H. Wood, Fire Chief Robert L. Shand, City Clerk -Treasurer Because this is an adjourned meeting, the Flag Salute and Invocation were not conducted. It was moved by Councilman Winton, seconded by Councilman Temple, and passed by the following vote to recess the meeting at 6:35 p.m. to Bateman Hall, Lynwood, California. AYES: 4 Councilmen: Temple, Winton, Scotto, Jennings ABSENT: 1 Councilmen: DiLoreto The City Clerk was excused from the meeting The meeting resumed at Bateman Hall, Lynwood, California. Roll call: Councilmen: Temple, Winton, Scotto, Jennings were present. Councilman: DiLoreto, excused absence. Also present: Five Councilmen from South Gate Five Councilmen from Lynwood Discussion of the Tri City Fire Department Joint Powers Agreement resumed. Mayor Jennings moved to consider the Option No. 1 concept of the Tri-City Fire Service program and that the City Managers of Downey, Lynwood, and South Gate be authorized to consult with their respective City Attorneys in drafting a Joint Powers Agreement for presentation at each of the three cities next Council meetings.
