HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes-12-12-74-Adjourned Regular MeetingMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL -'- � OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY aP� ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 12, 1974 The City Council of the City of Downey held a regular adjourned meeting at 5:30 p.m., December 12, 1974, in the Council Chambers of the Downey City Hall, Mayor Richard M. Jennings presiding. PRESENT: Councilmen: Walter S. Temple, Donald H. Winton, Hazel N. Scotto, Richard M. Jennings ABSENT: Councilmen: Joseph E. DiLoreto (excused) ALSO PRESENT: Charles W. Thompson, City Manager Edwin H. Wood, Fire Chief Robert L. Shand, City Clerk -Treasurer Because this is an adjourned meeting, the Flag Salute and Invocation were not conducted. Mayor Jennings asked the City Manager to report on the Joint Tri-City Fire Department study. Each Councilman had a copy of the Fire Service Guidelines, which is a 63- page report prepared by the firm of Andersen, Heiss & Hughes, dated November 25, 1974. Fire Chief Wood reviewed details of the report and answered questions from the Council. Upon conclusion of the study session, City Manager Thompson said he will have a report back to the Council on Tuesday, December 17, 1974, preparatory to the Council's attending a joint session Council meeting with the cities of Lynwood and South Gate. There being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor Jennings adjourned the meeting at 7:32 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., December 19, 1974, in the Council Chambers of the Downey City Hall.
