Donald Simpson, City Engineer, reported that the contractor has
satisfactorily completed the substructure portions of the La Riena and
Otto Street sewers. He added that normally these projects are not rec-
ommended for acceptance until they have been completed in all respects,
however, since several adjacent property owners are experiencing consid-
erable difficulty with their septic tank services and are very desirous of
connecting to the sewer, it is his recommendation that the City Council
accept the substructure portions of the La Reina Avenue and Otto Street
sewers. At the present time the only work remaining on these two portions
of the project is the street resurfacing.
