The City Clerk read a letter from Mr. Gordon T. Nesvig, Secretary of the County Boundary Commission, as follows: "At the meeting held on September 2, 1959, the County Boundary Commission reviewed the boundary description and map submitted by you, with your letter of August 20, 1959, of the proposed annexation of territory to the City of Downey. "The boundaries submitted do not create islands or corridors of unincorporated territory and conform with record lines and lines of ownership. "This annexation overlaps the proposed "15th Addition Terri- tory" annexation to the City of South Gate, as filed with the Commission on August 31, 1959. "Upon recommendation of the County Engineer revisions were made in the boundary description to provide the definiteness and certainty intended under the provisions of Section 35002 of the Government Code. "With these revisions, the County Boundary Commission approved the boundaries of the above proposed annexation. A copy of the approved revised legal description and a list of special districts involved are enclosed for your use."
