MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DOWNER
HELD AUGUST 23rd, 1957
The City Council of the City of Downey held a special called meeting
in the Council Chambers of the Downey City Hall at 4 :00 p.m., on August 23rd,
1957. Mayor Peavey presided.
PRESENT: Councilmen: Dunnum, Giddings, Stamps, Peavey
ABSENT: Councilman: Temple
ALSO PRESENT: Oren L. King, City Manager
Glenn Kendall, Assistant City Manager
Della Doyle, City Clerk
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DOWNEY, FIXING TEE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO
BE RAISED BY TAXATION FOR TAE FISCAL YEAR BE-
GINNING JULY 1, 1957•
The Ordinance was read in full. It was moved by Councilman Dunnum,
seconded by Councilman Stamps, and passed by the following vote that said
Ordinance be introduced.

AID OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SERVICES.
The Resolution was read in full. It was moved by Councilman Giddings,
seconded by Councilman Stamps, and passed by the following vote that Reso-
lution No. 146 be adopted.
