HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6158 RESOLUTION NO. 6158 Page 2 The area within Underground Utility District No. 17 is further described in the engineer's report on file in the office of the City Clerk along with Plan No. 3-35-28, both of which by this reference are made a part hereof. SECTION 2. Those poles, overhead wires and associated structures on Imperial Highway as shown on Plan No. 3-35-28 shall be removed and underground installations made ^, within the right-of-way and up to 100 feet without the right-of-way in Underground Utility District No. 17 in three phases, as follows: Phase I All Southern California Edison Co. overhead distribution facilities as well as all overhead facilities belonging to General Telephone, MediaOne, and other utility providers along the portion of the corridor between the westerly City limit and Clark Ave. shall be removed no later than January 31, 2001. Phase II All Southern California Edison Co. overhead distribution facilities as well as all overhead facilities belonging to General Telephone, MediaOne, and other utility providers along the portion of the corridor between Clark Ave. and the easterly City limit shall be removed no later than December 31, 2001. Phase III All Southern California Edison Co. overhead transmission facilities along Downey Ave. between a line parallel to Imperial Highway 100 feet south of the southerly right-of-way line of Imperial Highway and a line parallel to Imperial Highway 150 feet north of the northerly right-of-way line of Imperial Highway and all Southern California Edison Co. overhead transmission facilities along Imperial Highway between Ardis Ave. and the easterly City limit shall be removed no later than May 31, 2005. Utility companies upon showing that they cannot comply with such limitations may, upon approval of the City Council, have an extension of time as provided in Section 7510 of the Downey Municipal Code. In order to provide adequate time for the utility companies to convert their overhead service connections to private properties not voluntarily converted, all private property improvements required by this District to be installed by the property shall be completed as follows: Phase I No later than September 1, 2000. Phase II No later than July 1, 2001. RESOLUTION NO. 6158 Page 3 SECTION 3. Within ten(10) days after adoption of this Resolution,the City shall mail a copy of the same and a copy of Chapter 5,Article VII, of the Downey Municipal Code to affected property owners as such are shown on the last equalized assessment roll and to the affected utilities.
