HomeMy WebLinkAboutGTF Agenda 04-28-11MINUTES Green Task Force April 28, 2011 Meeting nd Downey City Hall – 2 Floor Training Room 11111 Brookshire Ave, Downey, CA 90241 Meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. Members Present : Sean Ashton, Bob Ciatti, Lars Clutterham, Jonathan Cousimano, J ose Magana, George Manganille, Janet Molinaro, Patrick Owens, Alex Saab, Anna Valcancel Staff: Desi Alvarez , Deputy City Manager Brian Sae ki , Director of Community Development Others: Dan Pruitt Organization: The T ask F orce reviewed Ordinance No. 10 - 1265 establishing the Green Task Force. Lars Clutterham was selected Chair and Jonathan Cousimano was selected Vice Chair . The Task Force requested sample bilaws be presented to them for consideration at the next task force meeting. The Task Force agreed its meeting would be he ld on the fourth Thursday of every month between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Discussion of future agenda i tems: Brian Sae ki gave an over view of AB 32 and SB 3 7 5. Mr. Sae ki distributed a brief summary of SB 375. To comply with these regulati ons , Downey will be implementing programs based on the Sustainable Community Strategies (SCS) developed by the Gateway Council of Governments (COG). The SCS will be adopted by the COG Board of Directors at their May meeting. There followed a discussion by members of the Task Force. Two items, bike paths and the use of cleaner fuel vehicles by the City , were discussed as topics of interest for the Task Force to address. Chair Clutterham requested that the Task Force Members read the report prepared by the previous Green Task Force in 2010. The report is available on the City’s web page.
