MINUTES OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY REGULAR MEETING JULY 22, 2008 The Community Development Commission of the City of Downey held a Regular Meeting 7:33 p.m., July 22, 2008, in the Council Chamber of the Downey City Hall, 11111 Brookshire Avenue, Downey, California, Chairperson David R. Gafin presiding. PRESENT: Commissioners: David R. Gafin Chairperson Mario A. Guerra Vice - Chairperson Anne M. Bayer Rick Trejo Kirk O. Cartozian ALSO PRESENT: Lee Powell, Acting Executive Director G. Ross Trindle, Assistant Agency Counsel Kathleen L. Midstokke, Secretary Scott K. Pomrehn, Assistant Deputy City Manager Roy Campos, Police Chief Linda Haines, Building & Housing Director Gilbert Livas, Deputy City Manager /Community Development John Michicoff, Finance Director John Perfitt, Economic Development Director Thad Phillips, Community Services Director Brian Ragland, Public Works Director Mark Sauter, Fire Chief Susan Domen, Deputy City Clerk Other Staff The Invocation was delivered by Pastor Jason Neville, Praise Chapel. The Flag Salute was led by Council Member Anne Bayer. CONSENT CALENDAR: It was moved by Commissioner Trejo, seconded by Commissioner Bayer, and unanimously carried to approve the Consent Calendar items as recommended: 1. APPROVED COMMISSION MINUTES: Regular and Adjourned Meetings July 8, 2008: Secretary. 2. APPROVED WARRANTS ISSUED: (See City Council Warrant Register): Finance. The meeting recessed at 7:35 p.m. Community Dev. Comm. Minutes 07/22/08 -1- PUBLIC COMMENT: The meeting reconvened for Public Comment at 8:45 p.m., with all Commissioners present, (see Public Comment under Regular City Council Meeting) and recessed at 8:59 p.m. The meeting reconvened at 10:20 p.m. with all Commissioners present.
