REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 10, 2006
The Community Development Commission of the City of Downey held a Regular Meeting at
7:31 p.m., October 10, 2006, in the Council Chamber of the Downey City Hall, 11111 Brookshire
Avenue, Downey, California, Chairman Meredith H. Perkins presiding.
PRESENT: Commissioners:

Rick Trejo Vice - Chairman
David R. Gafin
Kirk O. Cartozian (absent)
Anne M. Bayer
ALSO PRESENT: Gerald Caton, City Manager
Charles S. Vose, City Attomey /Economic Development Director
Kathleen L. Midstokke, Secretary
Scott Pomrehn, Assistant to the City Manager
Desi Alvarez, Public Works Director
Roy Campos, Police Chief
- Linda Haines, Development Services Director
John Michicoff, Finance Director
Thad Phillips, Community Services Director
Mark Sauter, Fire Chief
Ed Velasco, Housing Manager
Susan Domen, Secretary to the City Clerk
The Invocation was delivered by Pastor Jason Norton, Calvary Chapel, Downey. The Flag
Salute was led by Secretary Midstokke.
CONSENT CALENDAR
It was moved by Commissioner Gafin, seconded by Vice - Chairman Trejo, and so ordered to
approve the Consent Calendar items as recommended:
1. APPROVED COMMISSION MINUTES: Adjourned and Regular Meetings September 26,
2006: Secretary.
2. APPROVED WARRANTS ISSUED: (See City Council Warrant Register): Finance.
The meeting recessed at 7:33 p.m.

PUBLIC COMMENT
The meeting reconvened for Public Comment at 7:55 p.m. vuth all Commissioners present,
(see Public Comment under Regular City Council Meeting) and recessed at 8:18 p.m.
The meeting reconvened at 8:57 p.m. with all Commissioners present.
ADJOURNMENT: 8:57 p.m.
The meeting adjourned to 6:30 p.m., October24, 2006.
