OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 12, 2006
The Community Development Commission of the City of Downey held a Regular Meeting at
7:30 p.m., September 12, 2006, in the Council Chamber of the Downey City Hall, 11111 Brookshire
Avenue, Downey, California, Chairman Meredith H. Perkins presiding.
PRESENT: Commissioners:
Meredith H. Perkins Chairman
Rick Trejo Vice - Chairman
David R. Gafin
Kirk 0. Cartozian
Anne M. Bayer
ALSO PRESENT: Gerald Caton, City Manager
Lee Powell, Assistant City Manager
Charles S. Vose, City Attorney /Economic Development Director
Kathleen L. Midstokke, Secretary
Scott Pomrehn, Assistant to the City Manager
Desi Alvarez, Public Works Director
Roy Campos, Police Chief
Linda Haines, Community Development Director
John Michicoff, Finance Director
Thad Phillips, Community Services Director
Mark Sauter, Fire Chief
Susan Domen, Secretary to the City Clerk
The Invocation was delivered by Reverend Michael Bankhead, United Methodist Church,
Downey. The Flag Salute was led by Council Member Kirk Cartozian.
CONSENT CALENDAR
It was moved by Vice - Chairman Trejo, seconded by Commissioner Bayer, and unanimously
carried to approve the Consent Calendar items as recommended:
1. APPROVED COMMISSION MINUTES: Adjourned and Regular Meetings August 22, 2006:
Secretary.
2. APPROVED WARRANTS ISSUED: (See City Council Warrant Register): Finance.
The meeting recessed at 7:32 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENT
The meeting reconvened for Public Comment at 7:37 p.m. with all Commissioners present,
(see Public Comment under Regular City Council Meeting) and recessed at 7:39 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT: 8:17 p.m.
