OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 8, 2006
The Community Development Commission of the City of Downey held a Regular Meeting at
7:28 p.m., August 8, 2006, in the Council Chamberof the Downey City Hall, 11111 Brookshire
Avenue, Downey, California, Chairman Meredith H. Perkins presiding.
PRESENT: Commissioners:

Rick Trejo Vice - Chairman

ALSO PRESENT: Gerald M. Caton, Executive Director
Charles S. Vose, CityAttomey /Economic Development Director
Kathleen L. Midstokke, City Clerk
Lee Powell, Assistant City Manager
Desi Alvarez, Public Works Director
Rick Esteves, Police Captain
Linda Haines, Development Services Director
John Michicoff, Finance Director
Thad Phillips, Community Services Director
Scott Pomrehn, Assistant to the City Manager
Mark Sauter, Fire Chief

Joyce Doyle, Chief Deputy City Clerk
The Invocation was delivered by Father John Higgins, St. Raymond's Catholic Church. The
Flag Salute was led by members of the Fire Explorers.
CONSENT CALENDAR
It was moved by Vice - Chairman Trejo, seconded by Commissioner Gafin, and unanimously
carried to approve the Consent Calendar items as recommended:
1. APPROVED COMMISSION MINUTES: Adjourned and Regular Meetings July 25, 2006:
Secretary.
2. APPROVED WARRANTS ISSUED: (See City Council Warrant Register): Finance.
The meeting recessed at 7:32 p.m.

The meeting reconvened for Public Comment at 7:33 p.m. vâ– ith all Commissioners present,
(see Public Comment under Regular City Council Meeting) and recessed at 7:40 p.m.
The meeting reconvened at 8:02 p.m. vvith all Commissioners present.
ADJOURNMENT: 8:02 p.m.
The meeting adjourned to 6:30 p.m., August 22, 2006.
