ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
JULY 23, 1991
The City Council/Community Development Commission of the City of Downey
held an adjourned regular meeting at 6:30 p.m., July 23, 1991, in the Council
Chamber of the Downey City Hall, Mayor /Chairman Barbara J. Hayden presiding.
PRESENT: Council Members /Commissioners:
Barbara J. Hayden Chairman
Diane P. Boggs Mayor Pro Tem /Vice - Chairman
Robert S. Brazelton
Robert G. Cormack
Roy L. Paul
ALSO PRESENT: Gerald M. Caton, City Manager /Executive Director
Peter Thorson, City Attorney
Judith McDonnell, City Clerk /Secretary
Ken Farfsing, Assistant City Manager
Lee Powell, Assistant City Manager
June Yotsuya, Assistant to the City Manager
Mayor /Chairman Hayden announced the Council /Commission is recessing (6:31 p.m.)
to closed session to discuss Government Code Sections:
54956.9 - two Subdivision (a) matters - pending litigation;
Project Area Committee vs. City of Downey
United States vs. Montrose Chemical Co., et al
(Potlatch /Simpson Claim #1074)
54956.9 - one Subdivision (b) matter;
54957 - one personnel matter.
The meeting reconvened in open session at 7 :37 p.m. with all Council/
Commission Members present. There were no closed session actions to report.
The meeting recessed at 7:37 p.m.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
The meeting reconvened for Oral Communications at 8:40 p.m. with all
Council /Commission Members present. (Refer to Oral Communications under the
Regular City Council Meeting at 7 :30 p.m.) .

The meeting recessed at 8:46 p.m. and reconvened at 10 :10 p.m. with all
Council /Commission Members present.
ADJOURNMENT:
