Boggs presiding. PRESENT: Council Members/Commissioners: Diane P. Boggs Mayor/Chairman y Robert S. Braze lton Mayor Pro Tem /Vice - Chairman Barbara J. Riley Gary P. McCaughan, M.D. Joyce L. Lawrence ALSO PRESENT: Gerald Caton, City Manager /Executive Director Peter Thorson, City Attorney Judith McDonnell , City Clerk/Secretary Martin Mayer, City Prosecutor Art Rangel , Asst. Executive Director Lee Powell, Assistant City Manager Clayton Mayes, Police Chief Dennis Groat, Fire Marshall Mayor /Chairman Boggs announced the Council /Commission is recessing to closed session (5:16 p.m.) to discuss Government Code Sections: SECTION 54956.8 - Real property negotiations: 11000 -11190 Florence Avenue & 11049 -11153 Dol l i son Drive Property owners: City of Downey; Murata Family Nissan Corp. /8610 -8628 Firestone Blvd. Property owners: Richard Lehn Trust, and Sisters of the Company of Mary of our Lady; and 7550 Firestone Blvd. Property owner: DCH Investments Pacific Mitsubishi /9515 Lakewood Blvd. Property owner: Ford Motor Corporation 8206 Third St. Property owner: Community Development Commission SECTION 54956.9 - 20 Subdivision (a) matters - pending litigation: 1. The meeting reconvened in open session at 7:40 p.m. with all Council/ Commission Members present. There were no closed session actions to report. The meeting recessed at 7:40 p.m. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS The meeting reconvened for Oral Communications at 8:30 p.m. with all Council /Commission Members present (see Oral Communications under Regular City Council Meeting at 7:30 p.m.) and immediately recessed. The meeting reconvened at 8:45 p.m. with all Council/Commission Members present. Mayor /Chairman Boggs announced the Council/Commission is recessing (8:45 p.m.) to Closed Session to complete discussion of items previously announced on the Closed Session Statement. The meeting reconvened at 9 :37 p.m. with all Council/Commission Members .111% present. There were no Closed Session actions to report.
