A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY ADOPTING
THE CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTABLISHING THE PAY RANGE
FOR THE POSITIONS OF MANAGEMENT ANALYST, SENIOR MANAGEMENT
ANALYST, ADMINISTRATIVE AIDE, CIVIL ENGINEER ASSISTANT 11, AND CIVIL
ENGINEER ASSISTANT!
WHEREAS, the new classification titles of Senior Management Analyst, Management
Analyst, Assistant Civil Engineer 11, and Assistant Civil Engineer I are established to replace
existing classifications of Senior Management Analyst- Community Development, Special
Projects Coordinator, Assistant Civil Engineer, and Junior Civil Engineer,
WHEREAS, the non - exempt classifications of Administrative Aide and Assistant Civil
Engineer!! result in new established pay ranges,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2012 -2013 budget includes funding for the new
classifications of Administrative Aide and Assistant Civil Engineer 11,
WHEREAS, the classifications of Senior Management Analyst, Management Analyst,
Administrative Aide, Assistant Civil Engineer 1, and Assistant Civil Engineer 11 require a job
specification that includes essential job and qualifications for the position.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The classification specifications for the positions of Senior Management
Analyst, Management Analyst, Administrative Aide, Assistant Civil Engineer 11, and Assistant
Civil Engineer I attached hereto, and by this reference, is hereby adopted.
SECTION 2. The salary ranges for Senior Management Analyst, Management Analyst,
Administrative Aide, Assistant Civil Engineer 11 and Assistant Civil Engineer I shall take effect as
follows:

SECTION 3. This Resolution hereby eliminates the existing classifications of Senior
Management Analyst — Community Development, Special Projects Coordinator, Junior Civil
Engineer, and Assistant Civil Engineer and supersedes any previously adopted Resolution for
classification specifications and established compensation as herein referenced for the positions
in Section 2 above.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
