HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6669 RESOLUTION NO. 6669 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002 -2003 AUTHORIZED UNDER TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT ARTICLE III (S.B. 821). WHEREAS, S.B. 821 provides that two percent (2 %) of each County's total local Transportation Fund shall annually be set aside and used to fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and WHEREAS, the City of Downey desires to construct sidewalks and sidewalk ramps within their City utilizing the funds available under TDA Article III (S.B. 821). NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. To approve the attached list of pedestrian improvements and authorize the filing of a claim for all funds in FY 2002 -2003 available to the City of Downey. SECTION 2. To designate the Director of Public Works as the City's authorized representative and contact person. SECTION 3. To apply for all funds available to the City of Downey allocated for bicycle and pedestrian facilities (S.B. 821). SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
