HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6383 RESOLUTION NO. 6383 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY GRANTING SALARY INCREASES TO SPECIFIED EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, City Council Resolution No. 5290, the Management Performance Compensation Plan, states that cost -of- living increases granted to management employees will be no less than that granted to the rank -and file employees in their respective departments; and WHEREAS, the City has adopted three -year agreements with the Police Association, Fire Association, Maintenance Unit, Miscellaneous Unit and Police and Fire Management Associations that contained multiple salary increases. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City shall provide the following salary increases to Executive Management, Middle Management and Confidential /Exempt employees in classifications specified in Exhibit A: A. Effective November 1, 1999, four percent (4 %) (an additional one per cent as three per cent has been previously received). B. Effective October 30, 2000, three and one -half per cent (3.5 %)with the exception of the Police Chief and Fire Chief who shall receive two and nine tenths per cent (2.9 %) C. Effective October 29, 2001, two and one half per cent (2.5 %). D. Effective April 1, 2002, two and one half per cent (2.5 %). SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and provide for the distribution thereof. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of July , 2000. ATTEST: el • /I Z.. O F Clerk, JUDIT E.
