HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5701 RESOLUTION NO. 5701 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY IMPLEMENTING AN EARLY RETIREMENT PROGRAM FOR ALL FULL -TIME EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, the City wishes to realize salary savings during these difficult economic times; and WHEREAS, the City has developed an incentive program designed to encourage employees to retire to realize salary savings; and WHEREAS, the City Council authorized staff to meet and confer with employee associations regarding such a program and staff has reached agreement; and WHEREAS, the City and the Associations wish to memorialize this agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Sideletter agreement with the Downey Police Officers' Association, attached as Exhibit 1, is hereby adopted. SECTION 2. Sideletter agreement with the Downey Firemen's Association, attached as Exhibit 2, is hereby adopted. SECTION 3. Sideletter agreement with the Downey City Employees' Association /Miscellaneous Unit, attached as Exhibit 3, is hereby adopted. SECTION 4. Sideletter agreement with the Downey City Employees' Association /Maintenance Unit, attached as Exhibit 4, is hereby adopted. SECTION 5. Sideletter agreement with the Downey Public Safety Auxiliary Association, attached as Exhibit 5, is hereby adopted. SECTION 6. Amend Resolution No. 5515 to include early retirement benefit to Executive and Middle Management and Confidential /Exempt employees er attached Exhibit 6. per 7.
