HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5105 RESOLUTION NO. 5105 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION OF COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUNDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF SELECT SYSTEM STREETS. WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated certain monies to the City of Downey as County Aid to Cities; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Downey desires to spend $116,405 of said funds accrued to the City for maintenance of the Select System of Streets. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY RESOLVES THAT: SECTION 1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to allocate $116,405 of the Aid to Cities Funds apportioned to the City for the maintenance of those streets on the Select System of Streets currently approved by the City Council. SECTION 2. After the allocation is approved by the Board of Supervisors and funds are available, the County is requested to send such allocated amount to the City. The City will begin using the funds for the street maintenance according to the terms of the allocation. SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Los Angeles County Director of Public Works for processing. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 24th DAY OF January , 1989.
