A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DOWNEY APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR PEDESTRIAN
FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987 -88 AUTHORIZED UNDER
1 SENATE BILL NO. 821 (S.B. 821).
WHEREAS, S.B. 821 provides that two percent (2 %) of each County's
total local Transportation Fund by annually set aside and used to fund
the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Downey desires to construct sidewalks and sidewalk
ramps within their City utilizing the funds available under S.B. 821.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. To approve the attached list of pedestrian improvements
and authorize the filing of a claim for FY 1987 - 88 in the amount of
$21,768.00.
SECTION 2. To designate the City Engineer as the City's authorized
1 representative and contact person.
SECTION 3. To apply for all funds available to the City of Downey
allocated for pedestrian facilities (S.B. 821).
SECTION 44. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
